So Many Things To Tell You

It’s been pretty quite over here.  I’ve been busy, it’s as simple as that.  So many things happened at once that blogging seemed to take a back seat.  So be it :)

The first thing that happened is that I was blessed with an opportunity to work full time as a preschool teacher.  Since we moved down to KC, I’ve been looking for a job.  It has been a long road filled with resumes and interviews.  After about 2 months of looking, the right school kind of just fell into my lap.  I’m now working full time.  This means that I’ve had to find a way to do everything I did while I stayed home while working 40+ hours a week.  It hasn’t been an easy task.  There are piles of laundry on my floor and piles of dishes in my sink

My pantry has also been suffering.  After working all day with 3 year olds I just don’t feel like making supper.  Luckily my husband has been picking up my slack and usually has supper started by the time I get home (if we have anything to start lol).  There are so many things that need to be done around the house that aren’t getting done that I feel awful about, but he has been very understanding about the whole situation.  Probably because our current situation is temporary.  Why is it temporary you ask?  Well, we are expecting our first child.

This came as a complete shock to both of us.  We hadn’t planned on starting a family for at least another year, but God decided to bless us with a child and we are beyond excited about it!  The plan has always been for me to stay home with our children no matter what.  So all I have to do to make myself feel better is think that I only have another 6 months and then I’m back home with our wonderful baby.

I understand that being a new mom will probably result in the same amount of laundry and dishes piled up, but I feel that if it’s because we have a new baby at home, that’s a more legitimate reason that just being tired from working.

So sorry for the long post but I had a lot to tell you!  In my absence, I’ve still been taking pictures, so here are some for the road

My adorable 8 year old sister drew me.  I’d say it’s pretty accurate :)

My Mommy sent me birthday flowers!

This is a photo from last year.  I decided that I wanted some practice shooting people and I had a more that willing subject in my sister.  She’s standing on a tractor with the perfect amount of light coming through the clouds.

Hopefully I’ll be back here more regularly but I”m not promising anything.  Happy Wednesday!

  1. What a nice blog….and I missed them while you were busy in your new home and then job hunting. I can hardly wait to see your new home and we get to visit. With the new baby coming I’m sure we will get together a few times.
I love your planter your Mom sent you for your birthday. You will be able to plant something in it next year again.
My life revolves around quilting and already thinking about homemade Xmas gifts. I finished my quilt top and we are going to the QCA and look for backing for it. Also taking my machine in to have it looked at and cleaned. I love this sewing machine.
I hope your Mom is doing good with you gone and me too she is lucky she has a few good friends. I hope things move in her direction and there isn’t too much tension. Take photos when you visit her this weekend.
I am so happy that you are not having any morning sickness and I know you and Tayler will be the very best parents. You were so good with Monica over the years.
I love you Robbi and it is time for my walk…… Love Grandma

  2. Your blog is awesome. Try to keep it up! I see a whole new, grown-up side of you in your writing. You’re not my little girl anymore!! Can’t WAIT to meet Baby Todd!
