Homemade Bread

After searching for my bread maker for a while, I finally found it in a cupboard next to the stove.  You see, when we moved in, our family helped put the kitchen away.  I was glad they helped because I hate putting away the kitchen.  But the problem is that I can’t seem to remember where anything is because I didn’t put it there!

I realized that to some of you that homemade bread means it does not come from a bread maker, but for me it does.  Every once in a while I get the urge to actually make the bread by hand but today was not that day.  And, usually when I make bread by hand, something goes wrong.  It’s just easier for me to put all the ingredients in the bread maker and let it go.  That way I can get something else done in those 3 hours or so that it takes to rise and bake.

There is one downside to making homemade bread.  It never makes it past a couple of days.  My husband usually eats one piece when it’s still warm, then he makes egg sandwiches in the morning with the bread.  I eat it with jam.  And our puppers eats it plain and in 1 bite.  Needless to say, it goes fast.

The recipe for the bread came specifically from my bread machine handbook.  I know that there are thousands of recipes online just for bread makers so you just have to do some looking around.  Also, if you still have your manual for your bread machine, it should have recipes in it.  Enjoy!
